Monthly Archives: December 2009

We’ll help you with your list!

It’s that time of year when most of us are making our shopping lists and searching for the perfect gifts for each person on it.  Tresa and I have had lots of fun this year finding things to delight and inspire your holiday spirit!

Books make great gifts!

We have stocked up on the kinds of titles you will enjoy giving, in categories like sports, humor, games, biography, history, and of course fiction — to mention just a few.  We also have plenty of beautiful coffee table books, as well as an array of Christmas titles that children and adults will cherish for years to come.

Special Orders

If you don’t find the book you are looking for, we are happy to special order them.  To be certain that your special order books arrive in time for Christmas, we ask that you keep in mind the following deadlines:

  • For in-stock new books, order no later than Saturday, December 19th for delivery no later than Thursday, December 24th (Christmas Eve).  We will check stock availability for each book you order.
  • For out of print, rare, or used books, order no later than December 12th to ensure delivery before Christmas.
  • Some items may be available for ordering at later dates, but you may need to pay additional shipping!
  • We can also have new books shipped directly from our distributor to your chosen address.

Keep in mind, these delivery dates are subject to availability, which we will verify at the time you place your order.  Some items may not be available before Christmas.

Lots of Other Gifts Too!

Tresa and I have enjoyed combing the gift markets, internet, and catalogues to bring you a selection of beautiful, functional, and fun gifts for people of all ages.  Be sure to stop in soon to find your favorites since some categories are being snatched up quicker than we can restock! We have boxed Christmas cards, calendars, accessories for men and women, Christmas ornaments, book accessories, gourmet teas, coffees and chocolates, to mention just a few — and just in, a new shipment of the ever-popular Kalencom Diaper Bags!

Local Artisans

The Next Chapter is also proud to feature the work of several local artisans including the beautiful matted nature scenes, greeting and holiday cards, and 2010 Calendars by photographer Sandy Clark; carved wooden pendants by sculptor Kirk Johnson; scented goats milk soaps by Mary Ann Guiter; Hand warmers by Jen Kuenstling; hand-beaded bracelets by  Diane Gordon; antique spoon key chains by Linda and Keith Fridlington; baby gifts by Nancy Greiner; and handmade greeting cards, gift enclosures, and bookmarks by Jennifer McGee.
