March at the Next Chapter

17 Mar

It seems like aside from a few final blasts of Winter, Spring may finally really be on it’s way — and I’m sure most folks share my sentiments that it’s about time!

To while away the dreary days, Tresa and I have been busy, as always, around the Next Chapter.  As many of you already know, we have added greeting cards and gift bags to our lineup, so keep us in mind when you need to send card to someone.

We’ve also been busy reading, so be sure to check out the book reviews section of this website for our thoughts on some recent reads.  If you find one you like, please let us know and we’ll be happy to reserve your copy.  And keep in mind that if you are looking for a particular book — whether you’ve heard about it on TV or read about it in the newspaper, whether it’s a new book or an out-of-print favorite, we are always happy to help you track down a copy.

Of course, we’ve stocked up on spring jewelry, scarves and handbags, and we have a cute new line of mouse pad/notepads and paper cube & pen sets that make a nice gift for a friend.

And finally, we’ve posted our spring and summer event schedule on the Events page. We’ve got two bookclubs going — one with a designated read each month, and one freeform book and opinion sharing monthly evening.  We also have a monthly Craft Night that is being very well received (i.e., lots of fun!).  Several authors have agreed to visit our shop and talk with our customers and sign books, and we are in discussions with several more.  Are you a Twilight fan?  We will be hosting a Twilight Party in April where you can visit with other Twilight fans and learn about some great options for what to read next.

I hope you all enjoy the coming spring. Stay dry!
